Those poltergeists struck again last night when I was sleeping and snitched my new glasses – lenses correcting my vision which is near-sighed, far-sighted, has astigmatism, and has progressive lenses. Who would have thought that poltergeists had vision problems? Like they don’t have their own eye doctors? I had just assumed they all had 20/20 vision, being able to take stuff, hide it ever so well, wreak havoc in a home without leaving a trace. Just goes to say that when you have a predefined opinion on something, even though it may seem logical to you, it’s not always true. I should have known better though, as a few months ago they spirited away with my computer vision glasses too. Now, I’ve never seen my computer turned on in the morning before having actually turned it on myself, but maybe they’re pretty clever and don’t forget to turn it off.
The good thing about this is that it inspired me to do some very serious house-cleaning. Not that I found either pairs of my glasses, just some lint bunnies under the bed, but at least the house has been vacuumed!
Now I have to think of a good hiding place for my reading glasses…. Any suggestions? Those critters don’t take bribes, do they? For the price I paid for those two pairs of glasses, I’d be willing to pony up a hefty ransom.
